Losing a Pet Is More Painful Than Most People Think

Unfortunately, many people underestimate the pain of losing a pet. For that reason, researchers analyzed the extent of pain pet owners feel after losing their little friend.

The research was conducted at the Department of Psychology at the UNM (University of New Mexico.) A number of pet owners were asked about their feelings after losing their pet. All of them said they had one of the deepest and most intense pains in their lives.

Another group of researchers from Hawaii believes that the pain after a loss of a pet usually lasts longer than the pain people feel when they lose a relative or friend. Still, this is something a lot of people say they can’t compare. One thing is certain; a lot of pet owners feel as if they had lost their soul mate when they lost their pet.
